Planning a Dahua DSS Pro deployment? Use this free interactive calculator to estimate the server hardware you need — including CPU class, RAM, video storage, AI snapshot storage, GPU, RAID usable capacity, and network bandwidth — based on your actual camera groups and workload parameters.
Just enter your camera count, resolution, bitrate, recording schedule, AI features, and client connections. The calculator instantly recommends a server configuration sized for your project.
How to Use This Calculator
- Camera Groups: Add one row per camera type (e.g. 60 × 2MP at 1.5 Mbps, 30 × 4MP at 2.5 Mbps). Mix as many groups as your project needs.
- Recording & Storage: Set daily recording hours, retention period, smart codec reduction, filesystem overhead, RAID level, and HDD size.
- AI, Clients & Network: Enter person library size, concurrent client connections, face recognition channels, AI snapshot settings, and playback streams.
- Click Calculate Server Config to get your recommended hardware spec.
What It Calculates
- CPU class recommendation
- Required RAM
- Raw and usable video storage (with RAID overhead)
- AI snapshot storage
- GPU requirement based on FR channel count
- Network bandwidth (inbound recording + client live-view + playback)
- Minimum HDD count for selected RAID level
Note: This tool is an estimator. Final sizing should be validated against the exact DSS Pro version, camera model specs, AI workload, RAID controller performance, and project SLA requirements.
